Amy is an Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a MSN degree in Adult -Gerontology. She now provides exceptional care in Adult & Geriatric Primary Care. After 17 years of working as a Registered Nurse in Home Health, ICU, and in the Medical/Surgical care setting she has found her passion in providing comprehensive preventative medicine and the management of Memory Loss. We are so excited to have added Amy to our team as a Leader in the field of Geriatric Medicine and she will be a great asset to our community!

Amy graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Brenau University in 2006. Shortly thereafter she moved to the Lake Oconee community and has worked as a registered nurse in Home Health, Intensive Care, and Medical Surgical specialties. Amy became a Nurse Practitioner in 2023, graduating with a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Amy was the founding Director of Clinical Services at The Glen, where she led the clinical team and established a culture of Clinical Excellence. After receiving her Nurse Practitioner degree she joined the Lake Country Medical Group to head up the Senior Care group. She has developed a loyal patient base and is an excellent member of our clinical team. She will be working with our Neurologist, Dr Jessica Heiring, to establish the Lake’s only Memory Loss Clinic. Dr. Nicolas Chronos is truly delighted that Amy has joined our growing team at the Lake Country Medical Group.

Amy has lived at Lake Oconee since 2007 and is enjoying life here with her five year old daughter and their family dog. When she isn’t taking fantastic care of her patients she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and good food!
