Investing in the next generation is at the heart of Lake Country Medical Group. Our internship program is an integral branch of Lake Country Rural Health Initiative, our nonprofit organization, designed to further our mission and provide valuable hands-on experience for participants. Testimonials
“Throughout my time at Lake Country Medical Group, I’ve been able to experience medicine in real time by actively participating in the delivery of modern healthcare. Regardless of the capacity in which I was working at LCMG, some of the best moments have come during routine encounters with patients. Having the opportunity to develop genuine relationships with those who walk through our doors has been one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences I’ve had to date. While I’ve learned more than I could’ve imagined about how diseases are diagnosed, treated, and managed, the most important skill I’ve developed is being able to see the person behind each patient I have the privilege of interacting with. After spending more than a year at LCMG, I believe I have developed a foundation of clinical and professional experiences that I will continue to draw on for years to come!” – Jake M. (Previous Scribe & Medical Assistant) Pre-Med UGA Undergrad, Accepted to Weill Cornell Medical College
“I learned more from my time at LCMG than I did in all of my undergraduate schooling. I feel so much more prepared and confident to encounter clinical scenarios. I definitely have a strong foundation for knowledge moving into graduate school because of my internship experience.” -Hannah W. (Previous Scribe & Clinical Assistant) Pre-PA UGA Undergrad, Accepted to Mercer University PA Program
“I have loved getting a glimpse of the everyday work as a doctor through working closely with Dr. Chronos. I have not only gotten to observe, but I have also gotten hands-on experience scribing as well as interacting with patients and performing EKG’s. I know this will be valuable to my professional career in the future.” -Courtney L. (Previous Medical Scribe) Pre-PA, UGA Undergrad
