Jessica Heiring, MD
Dr. Jessica Heiring is coming to Lake Country Medical Group from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is married, has three children and has been coming to the Lake Oconee area for over twenty five years to visit her in-laws. She is excited to be at Lake Oconee where she lives for the majority of the year and looks forward to becoming more involved in the local community and enjoying all that it has to offer.
Dr. Heiring trained at the University of Minnesota where she did her medical training and residency. She completed a Neuromuscular and EMG fellowship following her residency. She then joined the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology, one of the largest private practice neurology groups in the United States of America, and was in clinical practice there for over 25 years. She has been on the board of directors of the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology, lectured nationally and conducted over 20 clinical research trials.
She was voted a Top Doctor in Minneapolis St Paul by her peers from 2011-2022. She diagnoses and treats a range of neurological conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, epilepsy, migraine, and tremor. She has expertise in the assessment, treatment and quantification of memory loss.
She strives to partner with patients to make sure they understand their illness and the various traditional, and nontraditional, treatment options available to them. She has a subspecialty interest in dementia, and with the new treatments and diagnostic options becoming available. She is planning to establish a memory loss clinic with Nurse Practitioner Amy Hayes, AGN, at Lake Country Medical
In her spare time Dr. Heiring enjoys playing the golf courses at the Lake, playing pickleball and enjoys exploring the creativity of artists and chefs around the country.
